    • Community and Charity

As a small brewery we recognize the importance of the local community to our reputation and especially to our sales. We are part of the community and we know we wouldn’t survive as a business without our loyal local customers. We think it is important that businesses should help to strengthen their local community and to support local initiatives that they believe in. Here is a list of the projects and initiatives we have helped to support.
    • Wrington Beer Festival

Originally conceived as a fund raising event (and a beer festival that was close enough to home for Simon to stagger home from) the Wrington Beer Festival was first held in 2019. It is now in its 6th year and has raised well over £15,000 for local community groups and events.

Along with a group of friends we help to set up and run the Wrington Beer Festival. We give our time voluntarily to help source all of the beer and cider for the festival and store all of the beer beforehand. We transport, help set up and ensure all of the beer is in perfect condition for the festival. We also help behind the bar.

All profit from the beer festival is donated to local community groups including:

Wrington and Burrington Scout and Guide Group, Wrington Primary School PTA, Wrington Youth Drama Club, Wrington Lunch Club, Wrington & Redhill AFC, Vine Counselling and Wrington Lantern Parade.

    • Redcatch Community Garden

Based in Knowle this fantastic project is a community run initiative offering opportunities for engagement by bringing local people together to learn, socialise, share skills and experiences and improve their health and well-being.

We have been supporting Redcatch Community Garden as our chosen charitable organisation because we love what they do. Over the last few years we have supplied beer with a considerable charity discount to their summer pop-up food events.

We have also helped by supplying our time voluntarily to help Redcatch Community Garden to organise their own beer festival to raise vital funds for the project.

We've also brewed a beer for them (see below)

    • Fundraising Beers

We brew beer and so the best way that we can help our local community is by brewing beer and raising some money for a good cause. Here are a few of our fundraising beers:

Knowle Brainer - This beer was brewed using green hops grown by Redcatch Community Garden. The beer was named by them and (even if we do say it ourselves) it was gorgeous. 5p for every pint of Knowle Brainer that left the brewery was donated to Redcatch Community Garden.

Jumpers for Goalposts - A beer brewed to raise money for grass-roots football. 5p for every pint that left the brewery was donated to local community football teams. Beneficiaries were: Wrington & Redhill AFC Youth Teams (during the FIFA World Cup 2022) and Easton Cowgirls (during the Womens World Cup 2023)

Reel Ale & Leaky Roof - These 2 English Pale Ales have been brewed many times to help raise funds for The Curzon Community Cinema in Clevedon.

Pier Beer & Bring 'im Home - Brewed to raised money for and celebrate the 150th anniversary of Clevedon Pier and the 100th anniversary of Mendip Male Voice Choir respectively.

    • How we can help your charitable community event

We have helped loads of local groups to raise money by supplying beer for one off events with a generous charitable discount on the beer.

We have helped local PTA groups to raise funds at countless summer fairs as well as local drama groups, charity fund raisers and local ploughing matches. All have benefitted from raising extra funding by selling our beer.

Bar - As well as supplying beer we will happily lend our homemade bar out for fundraising events (bar man in Fez not included).

Please get in touch if you would like to take advantage of our offer. If you're local(ish) and we like what you do then we'll be happy to help out.
